on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month in the Gym and Clubroom (downstairs)
from 7-9:00 pm. They meet in a converted room downstairs in St. Peter's.
The room is designed to recreate how our early Christian brothers &
Sisters met in dark locations - caves with candlelight. There is a set
program. ½ hour of social time, the DTS meeting - start with Prayer,
learn about a Saint, intercessory prayers, decade of the Rosary - plus
the Saint Gertrude prayer (the DTS charism is that they pray this prayer
for the Holy Souls in purgatory everyday for the rest of their lives),
followed by invitation to join the DTS. You can be "hooded"
after attending 3 meeting in a row or 5 meetings total. The DTS meeting
ends with Divine Praises and more social time. The hoods are black sweatshirts.
The DTS motto is "Dead to the World, Alive in Christ". DTS is
a national program that began in 1997 at St. Francis de Sales Church in
Newark, Ohio. Because the program was so intriguing and well attended,
it spread into a national Program. Check it out! |
