Saint Vincent De Paul Society

Inspired by Gospel values, this Catholic lay organization leads men and women to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to the needy and suffering in the tradition of its founder, Frederic Oznam, and it patron, St. Vincent de Paul.

Organized locally here at St. Mark Parish, members winess to God's love by embracing all works of charity and justice. The Society collaborates with other people of good will in relieving need and addressing its causes, making no distinction among those served, because, in them, members see the face of Christ

The Society delivers food and other needs directly to people. It also runs a store nearby in which furniture and clothing is available at low cost for the poor. A major project is the distribution of Christmas baskets to needy families. Money is raised for this through a special collection on the fifth Sunday of the month. A food pantry is maintained by the Society.
