Easter Images

The rhythm of the seasons parallel the rhythm of the church year: the preparation for the coming of the lord in Advent; the Christmas celebration; Epiphany; the time of penance during Lent; the holy Triduum of the Lord's Supper on Holy Thursday, the death of the Lord on Good Friday, and the exaltation of the Resurrection on Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday; the Ascension of the Lord; and the "ordinary time" leading to another Advent. Each of these celebrations evoke differing emotions in our hearts which we try to express in art. The height of the year is the EAster Season.
